By accessing or using TheRepo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. TheRepo is operated as an individual/personal project.
2. Description of Service
TheRepo is a YouTube bookmark management application that allows you to:
- Upload screenshots or paste URLs of YouTube videos for identification
- Create and manage bookmarks for YouTube videos with timestamps
- Add notes and organize bookmarks into libraries
- Share bookmarks with friends and other users
- Create montages from video clips
- Connect with friends and share content
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of TheRepo, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Access to the Service may require approval. We reserve the right to approve or deny access requests at our discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use TheRepo only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the AI processing features
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content with other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Use the Service in a manner that could damage or overburden our infrastructure
5. YouTube Content
TheRepo facilitates bookmarking of YouTube videos but does not host, store, or redistribute YouTube content. Your use of YouTube content through our Service is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain ownership of your bookmarks, notes, and any content you create within TheRepo. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.
Our Platform: TheRepo, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
TheRepo relies on third-party services to provide functionality:
- AI services (Google Gemini, OpenAI) for screenshot analysis
- YouTube Data API for video information
- Supabase for authentication and data storage
Your use of these services through TheRepo is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
8. Service Limitations
To ensure fair usage and service stability, TheRepo implements rate limits on certain features:
- Screenshot processing is limited to 10 requests per hour
- Free tier users have limits on bookmarks and timestamps
- Additional limits may apply based on your access level
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy of AI-powered screenshot analysis
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
- The availability or accuracy of YouTube video information
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting an updated version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
